Turn your passion for change into action with Rotary's Youth Service District 9350. With the Western Cape its foothold and a reach as far as Namibia and Angola, hundreds of young people are dreaming big and doing whatever it takes to find solutions. Whether it's as members of an Earlyact, Interact or Rotaract club, or galvanising their leadership skills through a Youth Exchange Programme or a RYLA leadership camp - young people are choosing to be part of the solution. You can too. If you're looking for a step-by-step guide on how to start and run such a club or programme, look no further. Each Youth programme has its own toolkit to help get you started. Look to the menu for links to the programmes which, in turn, will provide you with links to the online toolkits or to downloadable PDFs.
Representatives at the District 9350 Conference in Swellendam this year which saw an
incredible representation of youth in the district.
Current chairpersons of District 9350 Gail Oberholzer and Stephen du Toit at the Swellendam Conference 2017 which was a resounding success.
For all the latest updates on the projects that are raising eyebrows in the District why not take a few minutes to read the minutes of the most recent District 9350 task team meeting. The meeting was held on 11 February 2017. Click here for the document. The Hermanus Conference 2016 presentation is also a great resource. The document takes you through the Earlyact projects that received awards, highlights 2016's new Earlyact and Interact charters, and gives you a heads up on those clubs due to be chartered and officially launched. Adventures into Citizenship continues to grow in popularity, while The Youth Exchange programme last year broke new ground by registering a record high of 40-plus applications as did Nambia's RYLA programme. Now that deserves a big round of applause!
